Imagining Yoki Collections On Oscar Night...

Updated: Dec 31, 2018

It’s almost time for the lights, cameras and Hollywood A-list of celebrities, walking the red carpet of the big awards event we have been waiting for—the 90th Annual Academy Awards. We of course saw beautiful jewels being worn and trends coming on strong at the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards earlier in the season but this is the event in which it all comes together to influence what women will be wearing for the year to come.

At Yoki Creations we have noted what jewels have been trending since last years Oscars and here we show you how we interpret our looks, which we can imagine on the “red carpet”.

Brooches are back in a big way and they especially look stunning and unexpected on the—back—of a deep V exit-making gown. We love the way our sapphire and diamond snake brooch/pendant will turn heads.

We also can see our brooches (which also are interchangeable into pendants) being worn as hair jewelry. This type of styling lends a regal or youthful air to up-dos or tresses that have been pulled back off the face. They can be worn on the side of the head or in the back of a bun or a hipper ponytail. For this look, we think our green amethyst and diamond brooch/pendant pictured here creates a charming, elegant effect, particularly with a more vintage off the should or lace gown.

Alternately, we show you here how we interpret our looks also dressing up the Belt of a full skirted gown.

Long earrings—from chandeliers to linear shapes have been a major statement on the red carpet at various awards for the past two years. Ours are a combination of the two styles. Our garnet “raindrop on roses” earrings are long clusters of stones with movement that add a subtle glow around the face and will set off a strapless dress. They are available in a range of gemstones so will complement different colored gowns.

We hope you enjoyed our styling tips and look forward to tuning in with all of our friends reading this article and see what the jewelry stars of the March 4, the evening of Oscar’s 2018 will be.
